ABOUT US
Welcome to the award winning Karlsberghaus Festhallen!

Six-time winner of the Best Large Festhallen awards and six-time winner of Best Large Band (The Saxons), including awards for 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Our Festhalle is operated entirely by volunteers and all funds raised at the event go back into the community.

Kiwanis - One CAN Make a DifferenceCurrently we are one of over 8,000 Kiwanis Clubs in the world. Together with our sponsored clubs for children, youth, and young adults, we number 545,825 worldwide. The number one priority of Kiwanis International is to Serve the Children of the World.

Beyond serving the children of the world, Kiwanis Clubs locally serve a number of varied needs. Among other smaller projects, our club manages Kiwanis Park on Woolwich Street in Kitchener, complete with a two acre swimming pool and plenty of parkland at which thousands enjoy their summer days. We also manage two not-for-profit apartment buildings with a view to doing our part to alleviate some of the housing pressures that are so prevalent for some these days. In the past year we have also helped out physically and/or financially with the Send them Off Smiling program, Citizens Concerned with Crimes Against Children, Sexual Assault Treatment Centre, Association Breastfeed, Girl Guides, the Victoria Park Christmas Lights, the Dutch Boy Drum and Bugle Corps, Children's Wish, Ventures Colour Guard, Kiwanis Club of Twin Cities Bursaries, and several other causes.

We are looking for new members to help us with the ongoing task of raising the funds necessary and expending the energy necessary to perpetuate these programs and several others that are in the works. A member of Kiwanis Club of Twin Cities can choose which programs he or she wants to be involved in, and can manage the level of involvement they are interested in. Aside from the fundraising efforts and charitable pursuits, we also have fun. We meet weekly for an hour, both to discuss business and to enjoy each others' company.

Our regular meetings are held Tuesdays at the Delta Hotel, 105 King St E, Kitchener, ON, N2G 2K8 (Map). Social time begins at 6:45 pm and the meeting starts at 7:00 pm. Please contact us if you would like to attend a meeting so we can confirm if we are holding a regular meeting or a special event.

Rather than getting together with us once each year at Oktoberfest, hope you don't let another year go by before you check us out.

Thank you to Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers
and the Kiwanis Club of Twin Cities!

The Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers volunteered for the Kiwanis Club of Twin Cities during the Oktoberfest celebrations in Kitchener in 2010.

To thank the group for its support, the Kiwanis make a generous donation $9,000 to the C.M.C.'s charity of choice, Children's Wish. Pictured above are C.M.C. members along with Anne Boehm (holding Roary), chair of the sub-chapter in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.Children's Wish Logo

Thank you to these community groups for supporting the magic of a wish.
